梅の飾り巻き寿司・お弁当 Kazarimaki-sushi Obento

梅の飾り巻き寿司のお弁当 
あさ飾り巻き寿司を作りました。梅の飾り巻き寿司のお弁当ですよ~

小さいの人参がありません。そして、梅の中はかんぴょうを使いました。ごめん~

卵焼きの上に新しい焼印を使いました。楽しかった~

おかず:卵焼き、味噌のチキン焼き、野菜、人参、枝豆、蓮、エンドウ

Ume Kazarimaki-sushi
Decided that I will do a quick practice session of one of the kazarimaki-sushi that I learnt at my level 2 course in Japan this morning. Made the ume (plum blossom) kazarimaki-sushi for my bento today. 

Kazarimaki-sushi is basically a decoration sushi maki roll, where by placing the right ingredients at the right position and amounts, the maki roll you make will form the illustration you want. 

I didn't have the small thin carrots for the kazarimaki-sushi, so had to use kanpyo (pickled seasoned gourd strips) for the centre core of the ume flower. Sorry :P

I used one of my new iron press that I bought for my tamaoyaki. Fun! This wooden bento box is bought at kappabashi-dori (kitchen street) in my recent Japan trip :)

Side dishes are: tamagoyaki, grilled miso chicken, vegetables, edamame, carrot, lotus root, sweet peas.
