Autumn Bear Bento くまさんのキャラ弁秋 |
I haven't had the time to shop for extra fresh produce, so I simply used the ingredients found in my fridge. Hence the side dishes today are not authentic autumn produce :P
The good thing about bento making, is the creative use of your leftovers and ingredients. So in this case, I still had potato, carrots and minced meat, as well as some leftover egg sheet in my fridge. And this allowed me to conceptualise the autumn teddy bear bento design.
Singapore is summer all year around, so hopefully I can get to see some nice autumn scenes when I visit Japan later in October!
The side dishes for this autumn teddy bear bento were sauteed prawns, edamame beans, lotus root salad, salad leaves, red currant fruit, egg soboro, pork soboro and french beans soboro.
Teddy bear was made from mashed potato and seaweed, I dabbed a little ketchup for the rosy cheeks effect. The autumn leaves were cut out from thin egg sheet and blanched carrot slices.

今回くまさんのキャラ弁秋を作りました。秋が来ていますね~食べ物も美味しいし、天気もとても良いです。くまさんはくつろいてよ。
おかず:えびソテー、枝豆、サラダの野菜、レンコンのサラダ、アカフサスグリ、卵そぼろ、豚そぼろ、サヤマメそぼろ。
