I am soooooo excited to receive the latest Black + Blum Sandwich Box from Bento&co.
Design
This beautifully designed box by Black + Blum, has both a modernist take coupled with a traditional feel! Thanks to the combination of its aluminum box and the bamboo lid.
The bamboo lid also doubles up as a cutting board. The aluminum box has a rubber sealing around the sides to reduce spillage.
It comes with a black band to keep it all together.
In terms of design, this has totally won me over! It is really beautiful and very functional too! I always love a touch of beautifully craved wood in lunchboxes!
Function
It will work wonderful as a sandwich bento box, where the lid could even serve as a serving plate for your sandwiches. You could cut sandwiches or have some cheese served alongside.
The box is also deep enough (but not too deep) to pack sandwiches.
There is no hard fast rule on the usage, I actually packed my first bento (in my next blog post) which was rice-based and it worked perfectly.
The plus point is that the wide size allows your side dishes to be beautifully displayed, no more stress about trying to cram the ingredients into your box.
Size
21.5cm by 15cm by 5cm, a 550ml box, it is great for both ladies and men. Just pack a little less for ladies and more for the men.
It is however a little too large for a young child, but if you have 2 kids, they could share from this same box on a outing!
