Candy Bento Recipe
Ingredients
- Slice cheese
- Slice cheddar cheese
- Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled egg omelette)
- Alphabet pasta (deep fried)
- 2 Ham
- 2 Round croquette (any flavour of your preference)
*you can either buy ready made one or make one on your own.
*alternatively, you can also use 2 flat round meat patties
Tools
- 2 Strawberry bento picks
- Too pick
- Small cutter
- Knife, chopping board
- Food tweezer *recommended
1. Method (making the candy sweet)
- Melt a slice of cheddar cheese on the croquette. You can use a microwave if you are in a rush of time, if not a small toaster will work too.
- Add two pieces of the cheddar cheese to the sides to complete the candy sweet shape
- Using a straw, trace out a label shape and place it on top
- Complete the candy sweet by adding some alphabet pasta

- Food tweezer *recommended
1. Method (making the candy sweet)
- Melt a slice of cheddar cheese on the croquette. You can use a microwave if you are in a rush of time, if not a small toaster will work too.
- Add two pieces of the cheddar cheese to the sides to complete the candy sweet shape
- Using a straw, trace out a label shape and place it on top
- Complete the candy sweet by adding some alphabet pasta
2. Method (Making the lollipop candy)
- Use a good sharp knife and cut out a swirly strip of ham
- Place it on top of the croquette
- Cut out another longish ham slice to complete the lollipop! Easy right? ;)
3. Method (making the sponge cake)
- Cut 4 slices of the tamagoyaki egg roll, about 1cm thickness
- Sandwich a slice of ham between 2 pieces
- Using a cutter, cut two small pieces of cheese. The cutter could be a small flower too, as long as the sides are kind of curvy
- Stack them up and attached with the strawberry picks. Your sponge cake is completed!
All you need to do next is to assemble your bento! Good luck in the kitchen :)
