Decided to make a World Cup Soccer Bento today! The Man in my house is a huge soccer fan, and so is my Dad :P This soccer theme bento would be perfect for them~~~haha. Perhaps this could be a bento idea for you to make for your sons, husband or even for Father's Day coming up?

For the character portions, I made the sausages men from 2 different types of mini sausages. The red sausages and small brown ones. This was actually inspired by several of my bento friends on Oh Bento Labo group, especially 白山さん . Heheh I loved how they turned out, their expressions tickled me. Unfortunately, one cannot buy these red sausages here in Singapore, I actually brought them all the way back from Japan.
The soccer 'grass field' is made from french beans soboro, on top on the main carbohydrate dish -fried rice in the bento.
The side dishes for today's bento included sauteed salmon with baby corn in teriyaki sauce, tofu and mushroom stir-fry, carrot strips, broccoli and raspberries.
