Kimono Seaweed Cutting Bento! :) I am quite happy with how the bento turned out today, do you like it?

Sometime back I attended an amazing mixed-media art workshop taught by one of my favourite local artist, LoveLimzy (Lim Zhi Wei). I first took notice of LoveLimzy’s work via her Instagram, where she would create beautiful mixed-media paintings using real flowers and watercolours. Beautiful dancers and silhouettes were often seen in her works and I was very drawn to her works.

When she publicised her adhoc workshop that was held on 15 June at Rockstar Singapore @ Orchard 22, I immediately pushed away my appointments that day and signed up for the class.

Here is my final artwork creation! I made a red kimono lady ;) and check out some photos taken during the class.
The artist, Zhi Wei (seen above in black jacket) is such a lovely genuine person, and through her class, you can tell that she is so passionate about her art and was so generous to share her knowledge with everyone.

After attending that awesome class, I have been wanted to create a bento to depict the backview of a beautiful kimono clad lady.

Last night I ffound the inspiration and decided to make this seaweed cutting of the kimono lady.
The technique and method that I used in this seaweed cutting kimono bento is the same to all my other seaweed cutting bento, if you have been following my blog you probably would know by now.

Here are some photos of the seaweed cutting process:
The side dishes were baked salmon, sautéed tofu with mushrooms and lotus roots, sautéed sweet snap peas and carrots, sakura mocha and edamame beans.

Today's bento was packed in my Nagabako Mokume box from Bento&co. Nagabako Mokume actually means 'long box with woodgrain' :) which essentially sums up the outer look of the box, a chic slim long bento box with handpainted woodgrain exterior.
