一昨日鶏の手羽元のお弁当を作りました。パナソニック電子レンジオーブンを使って、作るのが簡単ですよ。皆さん、作ってみてください。
Yummy chicken drumlets bento! You can of course make the steam-grilled chicken drumlets for a sit down meal, picnic or even for parties.

The tricky thing in cooking chicken drumlets and wings is the control of the fat and water content. Being higher in fats (compared to say, white meat), it may cause splattering in the oven, and challenge is to maintain the moisture while ensuring even cooking.
In my recipe, the trick is to first steam, follow by oven grilling the chicken drumlets/wings! I used Panasonic Microwave Oven DS592B :), it can steam, microwave, bake and even grill! Awesome~
If you also have such a multi-function microwave oven, this will be a breeze and super convenient for you since you do not even a need to switch appliances.
The rice dish packed together in the bento is tai-meshi (red snapper rice) a traditional japanese home cooked rice dish, a recipe I that I posted earlier (link).
Ingredients (1 pax bento side dish serving)
Chicken drumlets - 3pcs
Soy Sauce 1.5tbsp
Sake 1 tbsp
Mirin 1 tbsp
Brown sugar 4g
Ketchup 1 tsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice 0.5 tsp
Add all the seasoning mix to the chicken drumlets and marinate for at least 30mins or 1 hour.
Place the chicken drumlets on the grill tray and steam in the multi-function oven for 6 minutes.
Then change it to the grill function and grill for 5 minutes. Turn the chicken drumlets over and grill for another 3~5minutes until nicely browned.
