| Attending the Summer Festival in my yukata :) 夏祭りに行った |
I have to have to blog about this! I had one of the most amazing time last Saturday ~ It was the annual Japanese Summer Festival organised by Japan Association of Singapore.
Japanese, Singaporeans and people crazy about J-culture (like me and my friends) dressed up in our yukatas and had so much fun.
For this special event, I wanted to make a very ‘Japanese’ bento. Haha, so it has to be?? HELLO KITTY! I figure that she is really almost a celebrity of Japan popular culture and made a 3 tier bento full of kitty madness :D haha.
Here is my bento!!
先週の土曜日は夏祭りへ行きました。とても、とても楽しかったです！それに、天気がよかったですよ。シンガポール日本人会の夏祭りエベントは日本人小学部チャンギ校でありました。来年も行きたいね！
これは夏祭りのためにキャラベンを作りました。キティちゃんのキャラベンです！友達が食べて、私は嬉しいです！

Hello Kitty Summer Festival Bento 夏祭り・キティちゃんのキャラベン |
First layer of my Hello Kitty Summer Festival Bento:

- Bread in kitty/ribbon cut outs with chocolate hazelnut spread （チョコパン）
- Sausages with edamame beans, plus a slice of kitty kamaboko （ソーセージ、枝豆、蒲鉾）
- Dashimaki tamago （卵焼き)

- Watermelon (great for the warm summer weather!) （スイカ）
- Boiled vegetables （野菜）
- Simmered tofu with kitty kamaboko slices （豆腐煮物、蒲鉾）

- Hello Kitty Onigiri rice ball with salmon flakes filling （キティちゃんお握り）
- Inari sushi (稲荷寿司)
