In Japan, there are shops selling super super cute animal donuts! I have been seeing their photos online!! Too kawai!!
They are called 'どうぶつドーナツ' (doubutsu-doonatsu) literally translated as animal donuts. See how cute they are!!

I should have done my research on the store before going Japan as I did not spot either stores during my vacation..how sad.
I ended up buying a really handy silicon donut baking tray from Kappabashi kitchen street to make my own.
Technically, these are more cakes than donuts, since they are baked rather than fried. So I called them donut-shaped animal cakes. :) Today's creation is rabbit!
Having a lunch appointment this afternoon, so I decided to pack a snack bento for myself instead.
今日私はかわいいどうぶつドーナツを作りました。楽しかったですよ。
日本で自然派ドーナツチェーン「フロレスタ」と「イクミママのどうぶつドーナツ」のどうぶつドーナツが可愛すぎて食べれないね～～！いま、日本でどうぶつドーナツは大人気です。
でも、店は旅行で見えません。残念です～次回、旅行の前に下調べをしなければいけません。
合羽橋でドーナツシリコン器をかったら、今度かわいいうさぎのどうぶつドーナツを作ってみました。

I know some of you might want the recipe and tutorial. I actually did prepare them but I find that I want to fine-tune the taste of the cakes further before I share it with you. It was a little too sweet for me.
