Tsujiri Teahouse in Singapore

To all green tea lovers and ice cream lovers, you have got to visit Tsujiri Teahouse in Singapore. Their green tea is imported all the way from Uji, Kyoto.

The store in Uji Kyoto was established 150 years ago, in 1860!

I have been their loyal customers since their first store opened at 100AM, the shopping arcade of Amara hotel located just next to Tanjong Pagar train station. Their second outlet will be opening at Somerset 313 later this month.

My recommendations from this store would be their O-maccha soft serve ice cream. It is really delicious, creamy and smooth with the right matcha green tea flavour and the right amount of sweetness.

I always go back for their O'Maccha Float (O-maccha)! See picture below. It is a combination of icy maccha drink topped with the green tea soft serve!

I have also tried the Tsujiri Parfait below, it was okay but I would have preferred that they would serve better wafer biscuits with the parfait. I would recommend instead their Shiratama Parfait, in which the soft serve ice cream is paired with dango (japanese rice dumplings), red bean, kinako powder (roasted soybean powder) and jelly. The interior of the store is bright and welcoming. A nice place to enjoy the sweets and drinks but definitely a little small, so it can get crowded, especially after dinner hours and on weekends.

Their o-maccha powder is also of good quality too so I also bought a small tin to make my breads and cakes.

The other item worth a try is their O-maccha Shiratama Plate - a plate of dango (Japanese rice dumplings) served with maccha powder and kinako powder (roasted soy powder). It is very yummy!

They also serve tea flavoured cakes, roll cakes and biscuits.
