To start off, here is a simple doggy bento tutorial:
METHOD
(1) Using a small scissors, cut the facial features for the doggy character
(2) You should have the 'eyes', 'nose' and 'ears'
(3) Stick the 'ears' on a slice of cheese. Using toothpick, trace and make the same cut-outs. I recommend layering the bottom with seaweed as well. This will help to hold the cheese in shape even when it starts to melt a little.
(4) Attached the nose parts onto the cheese as well. To cut the round shape, you could use the big straws used in bubble tea if you do not have a cutter.
(5) Next, fill the tofu pockets with your favorite type of rice. I used chirashi sushi rice over here.
(6) Place the parts on the the filled tofu pockets. You can dab a little (just a little!) mayonnaise so that the parts stick better.
(7) And now you are done :)
