I received requests for a basic bento class and put together this Bento 101 class for 2 wonderful ladies who wanted to pick up the basics in character bento making.
Knowing that many parents pack bento for their children, which also means that most of them may not be rice-based, but instead be sandwiches and bread. I wanted to share both sandwich bread-based characters in this class.
In this class, I will cover the basics of creating character sandwich balls, cutting of seaweed, shaping of rice balls, making thin egg sheet, creating the features for the boy/girl characters, and some basic bento side decorations.
