Today I made Keroppi Sandwich Bento! I also baked these butter bread rolls yesterday and used them for my sandwiches! They were yummy~~!
After several requests from friends, I finally made this Keroppi character bento. I did make one Keroppi bento very long time ago, which I cannot remember if I had even posted it online then.
友達にけろけろけろっぴを作るのが頼まれました。今日は作って、けろけろけろっぴのサンドイッチキャラベンですよ。バターロールは手作りです。昨日焼きました。良かったですね。
けろけろけろっぴはサンリオのキャラクターです。子供のとき、有名だったんです。
Keroppi was made entirely from mashed potato. The eyes and mouth were made using seaweed. To achieve the colors, I added just a tiny bit of gel food coloring to the mashed potatoes. I prefer gel colors over liquid colors as they do not add additional water content to my mashed potato mixture.
As this was a breakfast bento, I paired it with fruits that included apples, strawberries and mango.
My sandwich filling comprised of lettuce, hard boiled egg and mango; with just sprinkle of black pepper and some kewpie mayonnaise. Oh my, this sandwich combination was awesome!

おかずはりんご、いちご、マンゴー。サンドイッチの中に卵とマンゴとレタスを入れたんです。とても美味しかったんですね。
