I am very honored to be approached to work with Cornell to develop sandwich recipes for their Hello Kitty Sandwich Maker.
Since I personally have used it so I can vouch that the product is really easy to use, and because of its non stick material, the cleaning is a breeze. The Hello Kitty toast imprint is also distinct and clear.
Definitely good for bentos :)

My recipe creations for Hello Kitty Sandwich Maker are below
Red bean and Chocolate Hello Kitty Sandwich
A unique combination that works so well! The sandwich with its melted chocolate filing will leave you craving for more!
Ingredients (2 sandwich servings)
White bread – 4 slices (*you can change to softmeal or wholemeal bread if preferred)
Red bean paste – 2~3 tbsp
Dark chocolate – 6 squares (*you can change to milk chocolate if preferred)
Method
1.Preheat the Hello Kitty Sandwich maker until indication of the green light.
2.Place two bread slices at the base. Place the chocolate squares at the center and add the red bean paste on top, spreading it around but leaving about 1cm border all around. Place another 2 bread slices on the top.
3.Close the top cover of the sandwich maker and cook the sandwich for about 3 minutes.
Apricot and Chicken Hello Kitty Sandwich
A yummy protein filled sandwich with fruity goodness! Super easy recipe too!
Ingredients (2 sandwich servings)
White bread – 4 slices (*you can change to softmeal/wholemeal bread if preferred)
Chicken meat – 40~45g
Dried apricot – 2~3 pieces
Low fat mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1.Cook the chicken meat and shred it into thin strips.
2. Using a scissors, cut the dried apricot fruit into small pieces.
3. Add the dried apricot, mayonnaise, salt and pepper to the chicken mixture and mix well.
4. Preheat the Hello Kitty Sandwich maker until indication of the green light.
5. Place two bread slices at the base. Add the chicken mixture at the centre, leaving about 1cm border all around. Place another 2 bread slices on the top.
6. Close the top cover of the sandwich maker and cook the sandwich for about 3 minutes.
