Calvin hands a little message in a bottle to Susie! :D This breakfast bento was for my hubby.
Bet some of you might not recognise the girl at the first glance. Susie Derkins is a girl who lives in the same neighbourhood as Calvin and both attend the same school. It is believed that they are secretly in love with each other and numerous comic strips have their little 'love' story.
I love that love-hate relationship between Calvin and Susie.
She is also often pelted by Calvin by various objects including water balloons and snowballs. She also has a liking towards Hobbes, Calvin's soft toy and often hugs and comments how cute Hobbes is (much to Hobbes' delight).

スージー・ダーキンスさんは、カルビンのクラスメイトであり隣人。
2人の間が最も接近したのは、スージーがバレンタインデーにカルビンから貰ったプレゼントを大切にし、カルビンもそのことを喜んだという初期のストーリーにおいてである。

For this Valentine's Day Bento, the ingredients for Calvin and Susie were as follows:
Calvin - chicken ham (face, hands), pork ham (mouth), egg sheet (Hair), blue egg sheet (shirt), seaweed (eyes, nose)
Susie - chicken ham (face), pink kamaboko (shirt), seaweed (eyes, nose, mouth and hair)
The characters are placed on a double heart shape sandwich. Sandwich filling was chicken mayonnaise, cucumber and lettuce.
Side dishes for this bento included tamagoyaki, cucumber, fruit platter that comprised of apple, strawberries and mango.

カルバンさん：キンハム（顔、手）、豚ハム（口）、卵シート（髪）、青い薄焼き卵（シャツ）、のり（目、鼻）
スージーさん ：チキンハム（顔）、ピンクかまぼこ（シャツ）、のり（目、鼻、口、髪）
キャラクターの下はサンドイッチです。サンドイッチの中で、チキンマヨネーズ、キュウリ、レタスだったんです。
おかず：卵焼き、キュウリ、りんご、イチゴ、マンゴ。
