Easter Hen & Chick Bento イースターのキャラベン

My first Easter bento for this year! Today I made the little easter eggs using quail eggs following my earlier recipe here

Mother hen and little chick is having fun in this Easter bento! Mother Hen was made from rice and scrambled eggs (yum) to naturally color it. The wings were cut from thin egg sheet and I used seaweed and carrot for the facial features. Little chick was made from hard boiled quail egg. 

The little nest holding the egg is actually minced chicken. I molded the meat into a shallow bowl like shape and baked it. The extras were rolled into balls and baked as well, packed that as the side dishes. The vegetables were sauteed broccoli with mushrooms, carrots and lettuce. 

I hope I will have time to make more easter bentos! Today's bento is packed into Bento & Co's classic magewappa bento box
今年の初めてイースターのキャラベンを作りました。

復活祭を先取りね !イースターのエッグはウズラの卵を使いました。レシピはここです。


母鶏とひよこは可愛いですか?材料は:

母鶏(飯、卵そぼろ、海苔、にんじん、薄焼き卵)
ひよこ(ウズラの卵)
巣 (チキンひき肉、醤油、みり、さけ、砂糖、ごま油)

このキャラベンを作ることはたのしかったんです。
